Sealing the industry – Dziennik Gazeta Prawna Journal
KEDARIX’s main field of specialisation is the comprehensive supply of technical seals to industrial facilities. For two decades, they have been successfully protecting machinery from shutdowns and keeping production lines in good running order. We are talking to Agnieszka Szewczyk, CEO, about success, development and future plans.
The company specialises in the production of technical seals. What made you choose this male-dominated industry?
I have always been interested in and fond of technology and – by extension – masculine professions. From the beginning of my career, I have worked in masculine jobs, such as a construction supplies warehouse, where I learnt all about building materials, or a stairs factory where I spent time in the carpentry shop, studying every step of the manufacturing cycle, from design to production.
The company came into being in 2002 thanks to a certain man I knew who worked at the Sendzimir Ironworks. He introduced me to the world of sealing, taught me the basics and put me in touch with people from the industry. My sealing journey started there because I had the determination, curiosity and drive for continued learning, and that gave me a lot of satisfaction. The work has been my passion ever since then. New ideas have emerged over the years as I have grown the company: there have been better production solutions, new technologies and most importantly new customers – the sum total of all those things that made the company thrive.
Who is your target group?
Corporations, medium-sized and small companies from the coal, machinery, fuel, energy, steel, chemical, food and printing industries. Customers such as Tymbark, Lotos, Sandvik, Maspex and many more….
By using our services, our customers have the support of qualified staff, specialised in a narrow field. We know the industry inside out – its opportunities and limitations. That’s what gives us great flexibility and operational centralisation. We provide all types of sealing production in one place. We offer off-the-shelf materials from our warehouses. We provide a quality guarantee and secure deliveries to customers.
Could you tell us about your greatest achievements so far? What are your plans for the coming years?
One of the major achievements is definitely the close-knit team that operates the company. It is also the brand recognition we have achieved together.
In developing our company and wanting to reach out to wider western markets, we are making honest efforts to gradually expand abroad, internationalise our company by transferring some parts of the business abroad or by focusing more on export sales. As part of this, we took part in last year’s conference in Berlin and created the website www. Kedarix.de in German. This year, we joined the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce as a member.
